Business Intelligence and Automation Developer

OVERALL JOB DESCRIPTION: The Business Intelligence and Automation Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Power BI and related software and programming languages.
This role also plays a key role in identifying automation opportunities within our organization and implementing them using tools within the Microsoft Power Platform suite, such as Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power Virtual Agents.
JOB DUTIES: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data, reporting, and automation requirements.
Design, develop, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to extract data from various sources and load it into our data warehouse.
Create and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for data transformation and retrieval.
Design, develop, and maintain data models, DAX calculations, and Power Query scripts within Power BI.
Create and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards that provide intuitive and actionable insights.
Identify automation opportunities within the organization's processes and workflows.
Develop and implement automation solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power Virtual Agents.
Ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency across all Power BI solutions.
Monitor and troubleshoot Power BI and Power Platform solutions to ensure they meet performance and availability standards.
Create and maintain documentation of models, processes, and reports.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Power BI, Power Platform, and business intelligence.
Provide data and IT perspective and assistance on projects as asked.
Travel to operating locations, industry events, and educational conferences as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of four years of experience in business intelligence development, data analysis, or a related role, with a strong focus on Power BI.
Proficiency in Power Query and DAX for data manipulation and reporting within Power BI.
Experience with data modeling and designing effective data relationships in Power BI.
Strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power Virtual Agents.
Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and reporting.
Experience with ETL processes and tools.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Strong project management skills.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
COMPENSATION: Hiring Salary Range: $80,000 to $115,000 exempt, annual starting salary range.
Placement within the starting range is determined based upon the candidate’s background, education, and experience.
Full salary range is $80,000 to $130,000 annually.

401(k) - Full time and part time employees are eligible to enroll in the company 401(k) plan following a predetermined amount of time.

Days Off – Employees will accrue 1 hour of paid time off for every 40 hours worked, one personal day on the 1st of January each year and six paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
Other – Employees may be eligible for an annual bonus.
