Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of animals
- Diagnose and treat various medical conditions and illnesses in animals
- Perform surgeries and other medical procedures as needed
- Prescribe medications and provide appropriate treatments
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and preventive measures
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to provide comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
Skills:
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with pet owners and staff members
- Ability to handle stressful situations with composure and empathy
- Proficient in performing surgeries and medical procedures
- Knowledge of current veterinary practices, procedures, and medications
- Familiarity with practice management software for record keeping
