The Idaho Division of Veterans Services (IDVS) is looking for exceptional Physical Occupational Therapy Aid (Restorative Aid) at the Veterans Home in Lewiston who can add value to our amazing team.

Example of Duties:
Therapy
Schedules residents for therapy.
Implements physical therapy plans initiated by professional staff, including ambulation, range of motion, and exercise classes.
Assists residents in the safe practice of therapy plan activities and encourages them to participate.
Implements occupational therapy programs initiated by professional staff including feeding, eye/hand coordination, dressing program, and activities of daily living.
Prepares equipment and ensures availability of supplies for use in therapy.
Monitors and records residents' participation, responses, and progress.
Instructs residents and families in simple treatment procedures.
Patient care
Providing personal hygiene care to geriatric residents.
Taking and recording vital signs.
Feeding, lifting, positioning, transporting, and escorting residents.
Reports and documents observations made during direct resident care.
Minimum Qualifications:
Some knowledge of:
Body mechanics
Experience:
Monitoring and recording progress of residents' therapy.
Taking and recording residents' vital signs.
Observing and recording changes in residents' behaviors and symptoms.
Certification:
Possession of Nursing Assistant Certification and listed on the Idaho State Nurse Aide Registry
