Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-operative assessments and prepare patients for surgery
- Assist the surgical team during procedures, ensuring a sterile environment
- Monitor patients' vital signs and provide post-operative care
- Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the surgeon
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures and post-operative care
- Document patient information, including medical history and treatment plans
Skills:
- Proficient in IV insertion and specimen collection processing
- Experience with esthetic laser treatment is a plus
- Knowledge of discharge planning procedures
- Strong understanding of human physiology
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Skilled in performing physical examinations and lifting patients when necessary
- Familiarity with medical terminology
As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will play a crucial role in providing safe and effective patient care during surgical procedures.
